
The global Community of Redeemer’s university Ede congratulates our very own Prof. Christian Happi of the department of Biological Sciences on his induction as a fellow of the Nigerian Academy of science (NAS).
Prof. Happi is a foremost researcher and the Director of the Redeemer’s University African Centre of Excellence for Genomics of Infectious Diseases (ACEGID).
Professor Happi joins other prestigious fellows such as Emeritus Professor Ogunlesi TheophilusOladipo: Nigeria’s first Professor of Medicine and one of the first to ever attain the Emeritus status, alongside Professor Ige-Grillo T. Adesanya: Nigeria’s first Professor of Anatomy, as inductees into the highly revered Academy.

The Nigerian Academy of Science is the apex scientific organization in Nigeria which is the national representative on the the International Science Council (ISC) – the umbrella body for all science associations and unions – and the Inter-Academy Partnership for Policy (IAP) – the umbrella body for all national science academies globally.
In his speech, Prof. Happi expressed Thanks to all:
“I am greatly honoured by my induction as a Fellow of the Nigerian Academy of Science. This Fellowship underscores the fact that science is not restricted by nationality.”
